How We Make Money
Tennessee Valley Barndominiums is free for landowners. We are paid a referral fee by the builder we send your request to. This fee never increases the price you pay for your project.
How the fee works
When a builder takes on a project that started as an introduction from this site, that builder pays us a referral fee for the project. The fee is a marketing cost the builder pays out of their own budget, the same category as advertising they would otherwise buy. It is not a line item on your contract and it does not change the builder's bid: you are free to compare any builder we introduce against any builder you find on your own, and we encourage exactly that.
What we do not do
- We do not charge you anything, at any step.
- We do not perform, subcontract, or supervise construction work. The builder we send your request to is an independent business, and your contract is with them.
- We do not sell your information to lead lists. Your details go to the builder you are being introduced to, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We do not rank, rate, or endorse builders. We ask every builder to confirm licensing, insurance, written warranties, and itemized estimates, and we show you how to verify the license yourself.
Why we publish this page
You should know how a free service gets paid before you use it. Our incentive is a completed introduction that turns into a real, well-fit project, because that is the only case where anyone pays us. Sending you to a builder who cannot handle your county, your budget, or your timeline costs us the fee and the builder relationship, so honest referring well is also the profitable strategy.
